Gaudeamus

Directed by Nicholas White

Gaudeamus is an adult chamber choir of professional and semi-professional freelance singers formed by Paul Halley in the spring of 1992. In addition to performances of such masterworks as the "St. John Passion", the "B Minor Mass", Handel's "Dixit Dominus", and Britten's "Saint Nicholas", the choir has developed a large following through its annual presentations of Christmas Angelicus, Salute To America and Music for a Great Space. The latter series combines choirs, brass, percussion, and organ in free concerts that take place in the architectural splendor of inner city churches. Gaudeamus is also known for its explorations of world choral music with instrumentalists from all over the globe through the annual Music Shed series and the Trinity Arts Series.

Gaudeamus

Gaudeamus is featured with folk legend Pete Seeger on his Grammy Award-winning CD Pete. More recently, Gaudeamus was invited by Sony/Pioneer to record an album of a cappella masterworks to demonstrate the newest surround-sound technology. Entitled Sacred Feast, this DMP release has won high praise from Billboard Magazine, Pro Audio Magazine, and high-end audiophiles the world over.
