Julie Bickford

JUNIOR CHOIR DIRECTOR - Julie Bickford has been involved with Joyful Noise since the organization’s founding in 1991. As a member of Chorus Angelicus, Julie received vocal and musical training from Paul Halley. After serving as one of the first choral scholars and graduating from the choir in 1996, she continued to expand her musical pursuits. Looking to study solo as well as choral repertoire, Julie attended the Ithaca College School of Music. After graduating in 2002 with a degree in vocal performance, she returned to Connecticut to continue her education. At the Hartt School of Music, Julie furthered her studies in music education and conducting, earning her teaching certification in 2005.

In Great Barrington, MA, Julie now divides her time between Monument Mountain High School and Muddy Brook Elementary, where she leads children of all ages in song. When she is not teaching or enjoying life in the southern Berkshires, Julie is conducting the Junior Choir of Chorus Angelicus and hoping to instill a deep love of choral music in the next generation of singers.
